Ok, so I have a new favourite bookshop! Such a great and interesting range of books. I interacted with the staff several times and they were always really helpful. I've attached a photo of how the books arrived--most stores would have thrown them in a post bag.

My favourite bookstore in Melbourne for new books, Metropolis has a highly curated selection of both fiction and non-fiction, especially in philosophy/theory, architecture and design, esoteric/occult, and music and film. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is warm and one can spend a long time browsing comfortably. The shop website is quite good and updated regularly.

I cannot begin to tell you all how much I love Metropolis bookshop. The owner is super lovely and the staff is always friendly. Metropolis is not your typical bookshop. They have a lot of unique art, fashion, arcitecture and design books, books imported from Japan and more alternative books. Come here if you're looking for something unique!

Photos aren’t allowed here — but that only makes the experience more special. Save this place in your eyes and in your heart instead. It’s absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for specialized or art-related books, don’t hesitate to visit. This is a place that truly deserves your time.
